The Foreigner is an upcoming action thriller film directed by Martin Campbell and starring Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnan, Katie Chang, Charlie Murphy, Ray Fearon, and Liu Tao. It is based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Stephen Leather. The film follows a Chinese businessman who seeks revenge after his daughter is killed in a terrorist attack in London. The film's first television spot, titled "Names," was released on July 10, 2017. The spot features Chan's character, Quan, confronting Brosnan's character, Hennessy, about the terrorist attack. Quan demands that Hennessy give him the names of the people responsible for his daughter's death. Hennessy refuses, saying that he cannot reveal that information. Quan then threatens to kill Hennessy if he does not cooperate.
