The Fencer (Trailer) is a 2015 Estonian historical drama film directed by Klaus Härö. The film tells the story of Endel Nelis, a renowned Estonian fencer, who is forced to coach a group of young boys at a boarding school in a remote Estonian village during the Soviet occupation. The film stars Märt Avandi as Nelis, and Ursula Ratasepp, Toomas Tõniste, and Hendrik Toompere Jr. in supporting roles. The Fencer was released in Estonia on 15 November 2015, and received critical acclaim. It was selected as the Estonian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated.
