In the preview for Blindspot Season 2, Episode 21, "Mom," Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and the FBI team investigate the murder of a man who was found with a cryptic tattoo on his body. The tattoo leads them to a woman named Madeline Burke (Mary Stuart Masterson), who has been missing for years. Burke is a former FBI agent who disappeared after investigating a case involving a terrorist organization. Jane and the team believe that Burke may have been the victim of a kidnapping and that her kidnappers are using her to carry out their plans.
