**Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales** is an upcoming American fantasy swashbuckler film directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, and written by Jeff Nathanson. It is the fifth installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, and the sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011). The film stars Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, and Geoffrey Rush. In the film, Captain Jack Sparrow is pursued by an old rival, Captain Salazar (Bardem), who escaped from the Devil's Triangle with his ghost crew and is determined to kill every pirate at sea, including Jack.
