Nashville 5.05 (Preview) is the fifth episode of the fifth season of the American musical drama television series Nashville. The episode was written by Monica Macer and directed by Patricia Riggen. It premiered on CMT on June 22, 2017. The episode features the return of Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) to Nashville after her long absence. Rayna is struggling to adjust to her new life in Nashville, and she is also dealing with the fallout from her divorce from Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten). Meanwhile, Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) is trying to rebuild her career after her public meltdown.
