The Edge of Seventeen is a 2016 American teen comedy-drama film directed by Kelly Fremon Craig and written by Craig and Diablo Cody. The film stars Hailee Steinfeld, Woody Harrelson, Kyra Sedgwick, and Hayden Szeto. The film follows Nadine (Steinfeld), a high school junior who is struggling with the recent death of her father and her mother's (Sedgwick) remarriage to a new man (Harrelson). Nadine's life is further complicated when her best friend Krista (Szeto) starts dating her crush, Brad (Blake Jenner).
