Empire Season 3 is heating up! The new promo, titled "Keys To The Kingdom," teases a lot of drama and excitement to come in the upcoming season. The promo opens with Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) sitting on his throne, surrounded by his family. He looks up and says, "I'm tired of being the king. It's time for someone else to wear the crown." The promo then cuts to a series of shots of the other characters, each of them looking determined to take Lucious's place. Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) is shown standing in front of a mirror, putting on her lipstick. She says, "I'm not going to let anyone take what's mine." Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Gray) is shown rapping in a recording studio. He says, "I'm the next king of the Empire." Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) is shown singing on stage. He says, "I'm not going to let anyone stand in my way." Andre Lyon (Trai Byers) is shown sitting in a chair, looking thoughtful. He says, "I know what I have to do." The promo ends with Lucious looking up at the camera and saying, "The battle for the Empire is about to begin."
