"BrainDead" is an American dark comedy-horror television series that aired on CBS from June 13 to September 27, 2016. The series was created by Robert and Michelle King, and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Danny Pino, Aaron Tveit, Tony Shalhoub, and Janel Moloney. The show follows Laurel Healy, a young congressional aide who discovers that the United States government has been taken over by aliens.
In the preview for the tenth episode of the first season, "The Power of Euphemism," Laurel and her team are investigating the death of a congressman. They soon discover that the congressman was killed by a brain-eating parasite, and that the parasite is spreading throughout the government. Laurel and her team must race against time to stop the parasite before it takes over the entire world.
