In this preview for the fifth episode of the first season of the supernatural drama television series American Gothic, "Requiem," Sheriff Lucas Buck (Gary Cole) and a few deputies are working on a clandestine case in Buck's basement when they are interrupted by the sheriff's daughter, Gail (Sarah Paulson). She informs her father that her younger brother, Caleb (Lucas Black), is missing, and the sheriff and his men immediately begin a search for the boy. Caleb is eventually found, but he is severely injured, and his condition takes a dark turn. Meanwhile, the sheriff's investigation into Caleb's disappearance leads him to the mysterious Trinity cult, and he begins to suspect that the cult may be responsible for Caleb's injuries.
