"The Catch" is an American drama television series created by Allan Heinberg and based on the novel of the same name by Kate Atkinson. The series premiered on ABC on March 12, 2016. The show follows Alice Vaughan (Mireille Enos), a brilliant and successful private investigator, who is betrayed by her fiancé, Benjamin Jones (Peter Krause), a world-renowned con artist. Alice must use all of her skills and resources to track down Benjamin and bring him to justice, all while trying to rebuild her life and heal from the betrayal of the man she loved.
