[Underground Season 1](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNytk_Zm_Oo) is an upcoming American drama television series that tells the story of a group of slaves who plan and execute a daring escape from a Georgia plantation. The series stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge, and Christopher Meloni, and is set to premiere on WGN America in March 2016.
In this teaser trailer for the series, we see the slaves planning their escape, and get a glimpse of the dangers they will face along the way. The trailer is set to a haunting rendition of the spiritual "Wade in the Water," and ends with the slaves making their daring escape.
