Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an upcoming superhero film based on the DC Comics characters Batman and Superman. The film is a sequel to both Batman Begins (2005) and Superman Returns (2006), and will be the first live-action film to feature both characters together. The film stars Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman, with Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter in supporting roles. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder, who also directed Man of Steel (2013). The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 25, 2016.
