The Blacklist is an American crime thriller television series that premiered on NBC on September 23, 2013. The show follows Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader), a former high-profile government agent who surrendered to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and offered to help them catch a terrorist organization known as "The Blacklist." In exchange, Reddington demands immunity from prosecution and the assistance of FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone). In the preview for the twelfth episode of the third season, Reddington and Keen investigate a series of bombings that have targeted high-profile individuals.
