"NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" is an American police procedural drama television series, revolving around a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) based at the Washington, D.C., Navy Yard. The show follows the team as they investigate crimes that affect the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. The series premiered on CBS on September 23, 2003, and has since become one of the most-watched television shows in the world. The show's thirteenth season, titled "NCIS: New Orleans," premiered on September 20, 2016.
