The Summer of Sangaile Trailer

The Summer of Sangaile (Lithuanian: Sangaile) is a 2015 Lithuanian coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Alantė Kavaitė. It was selected to be screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. It was Lithuania's submission for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated.

The film stars Julija Steponaitytė as Sangaile, a 17-year-old girl who is sent to a summer camp in the countryside. While there, she meets Auste (Aistė Diržiūtė), a confident and outgoing girl who introduces her to a new world of freedom and self-discovery.
