Downton Abbey is a British historical drama television series set in the early 20th century, created and co-written by Julian Fellowes. The series follows the lives of the Crawley family and their servants in the fictional Yorkshire country house of Downton Abbey. The series has been a critical and commercial success, winning numerous awards, including three Golden Globe Awards and nine Emmy Awards.
