The Good Wife is an American legal and political drama television series that premiered on CBS on September 22, 2010. The series stars Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick, a wife and mother who returns to work as a litigator after her husband, Peter Florrick (Chris Noth), the Cook County State's Attorney, is jailed following a political corruption scandal. The series also stars Josh Charles as Will Gardner, Alicia's love interest and law partner, and Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhart, Alicia's boss and mentor.
