In the third clip from Veep's fourth season premiere, "Joint Session," Vice President Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) faces off against Senator O'Brien (Diedrich Bader) in a joint session of Congress. The two spar over the president's proposed budget, with Meyer accusing O'Brien of being out of touch with the needs of the American people. O'Brien, in turn, mocks Meyer for her lack of experience and her tendency to shoot from the hip. The clip ends with Meyer delivering a passionate speech in which she defends her record and her vision for the country.
