Undateable Episode 2.06 A Sibling Rivalry Walks Into a Bar

Danny is really proud of himself for setting Leslie up on a blind date, but she's furious with him. The date was awful! The guy picked her up an hour late and made her breathe in a tube to start his car. And what's worse - Leslie's getting an award the next night for her Destination Detroit marketing campaign and doesn't have a date. She also needs to raise her standards when it comes to men. Leslie announces she's only dating guys who own their own suits, prompting Burski's desire to get a cheap suit so he can take her to her event. So Shelly brings over one of his retirees who happens to be the oldest tailor in the world. So old, he actually dies while doing measurements.

After Justin tells Danny he needs to get it together and be a better brother to Leslie, Danny offers to be her date. But he's too late - Justin has already swept in and offered to take her. Suddenly Danny gets really competitive, so he tries to tempt Leslie with a description of their perfect evening: drinking and making catty remarks about her co-workers all night. Justin can beat that: dinner and dancing, then home by midnight. While Justin's night sounds horrible, she's going to choose him anyway because lately, Justin's been more of a brother to her than Danny has.

That night, as Justin gets ready for his date, Danny throws a temper tantrum about him stealing his sister. He wants Justin to tell Leslie he can't take her to the party and then Danny will swoop in and prove he's an awesome brother by being her date. That way he can coast for the rest of the year. But Justin refuses to lie to Leslie to make Danny look like a better brother... and then promptly trips on a tangerine Danny dropped during his temper tantrum.

Meanwhile, Shelly and Burski go visit the dead tailor's son to see if he'll finish the suit for Burski, but the guy refuses, on account of his father just dying. As the guys leave, defeated, the son asks to hear his father's last words, which, sadly, were, "You don't need any help in the crotch department." Nevertheless, his father's touching words convince him to finish the suit for Burski so he can win over his dream girl.

That night, Justin breaks the bad news to Leslie: he sprained his ankle on the tangerine and can't be her date. Danny immediately steps in, delighted to be the hero, but Leslie is furious. She thinks Danny told Justin to fake the injury. Even if Justin has to sit all night, he's going to this party. But just minutes before they have to leave, Danny comes through for his big sister by introducing her to his super hot friend, Mike, who is just Leslie's type. As soon as Leslie sees how gorgeous bad boy Mike is, she instantly forgives Danny. On the way out, Leslie and Mike run into Burski, wearing his snazzy new suit. Aww, Burski!
