Russell (Tone Bell) is not pleased when Derek (guest star Terrence Jenkins) and Charlene (guest star Letoya Luckett), who met at his and Angie's wedding, ask Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) to officiate their wedding instead of him. Determined to find a way to participate, Russell weasels his way into untying a ceremonial knot at the start of the aisle and reading a poem when Derek's uncle can't make it. Angie, fed up with how Russell makes everything about him, finally confronts him about showboating during their own wedding and explains that's why Derek and Charlene didn't want him to officiate.
At the same time, Mitch goes above and beyond officiating to planning the wedding to tracking down the truth when Angie overhears Derek discussing a secret hookup. Tracy (Vanessa Lachey), determined to have a romantic weekend with Mitch, loses her patience with his insistence on getting involved in other people's lives, forcing Mitch to reconsider his priorities. But just when Mitch is ready to back off, Tracy causes a stir when she calls out Derek for having non-committal wedding vows. Her observation makes Derek and Charlene realize they're not ready to walk down the aisle yet - while Russell and Angie (Bresha Webb) do it again.
To make up for the way he acted at their wedding, Russell redoes his wedding vows, imbuing them with sincerity and romance, and gives Angie what she wanted all along. In turn, Angie gives Russell a surprise of her own: she's pregnant.
