In the wake of his victory in the Ava Hessington case, Harvey is blindsided when Cameron Dennis returns to arrest Ava for conspiracy to commit murder. It turns out the colonel she admitted to bribing had six people killed after their little 'business transaction, all of whom were opposed to Ava's oil pipeline. Cameron was ahead of them every step of the way, and there is nothing Harvey can do about it.
To make matters worse, the arrival of Edward Darby's fixer, Steven Huntley, has both Jessica and Harvey on alert. Little does Jessica realize that Steven is actually in town to aid Harvey in his takeover bid, a claim that Harvey isn't ready to take at face value.
Elsewhere, the bad blood between Mike and Katrina is stirred up again, but when a step too far earns Katrina a dressing down from Harvey, the desperate fifth year forges a bond with another perpetual outsider.
Meanwhile, Harvey and Mike manage to get Ava out on bail, but when Harvey refuses to bribe their way out of a corner, Ava fires him. Now, they must scramble to find a solution before Ava plays right into Cameron's hands. But with Harvey and Mike so focused on their external problem, they may not see the internal threat coming until it's too late...
