Hoping to make a point during the Senior Partners meeting, Jessica assigns Harvey to a nurses' union negotiation case that, by all rights, should be Daniel Hardman's. Hardman offers Harvey an assist, but as Jessica makes it clear to Harvey, she wants the prodigal partner put in his place. Hard. Relishing the chance to step on Hardman a little more, Harvey saddles the firm's number two with pro bono cases. Point taken.
At the same time, Donna tries to buoy Rachel's spirits after Mike's rejection, and Louis deals with his own wounded pride when Harvard threatens to rescind Pearson Hardman's on-campus recruiting privileges after the firm is ranked second-to-last in a quality of life survey of legal associates.
Meanwhile, Hardman sends his own message by hijacking Harvey's hearing and gaining a temporary restraining order against a nurses' union strike. Angry at being outdone, Harvey rips up the order and pursues an even more aggressive negotiation tactic. But when Hardman draws Mike into his plans, their game of one upmanship soon threatens to derail the entire case.
