At a routine checkup with the pediatrician, Sophie checks out a hot, single doctor. LAter on, she runs into him at the grocery store and musters up the cuorage to ask him tto go to a charity event with her. His name is DR. Jesse Torres, and his specialty just might be looking amazing in a tux.
The event, a big-to-do benefiting the film society, is a major schmoozefest and a change for Sophie to drum up some business for floundering agency. Unfortunately, Rick and Melissa are there, playing the power couple. Luckily, Matt's around to offer his support -- and his approval of "Dr. Adonis."
Sophie's feeling pretty good, until she notices that every women in attendance -- including Estelle and Melissa -- already knows her date. It turns out that Jesse is a gynecologist with a very large clientele. As hip as sophie is, she feels pangs of jealousy, and the first date isn't even over yet. This doesn't sit well with Jesse, who'd rather not be grilled about his profession. He walks out, and the evening seems doomed to be a total disaster, until...
Sophie catches up to him, and they break the spell of the bad evening with an amazing first kiss. Crisis is averted, and the good doctor goes back inside to order them some dinner. (The posh event serves microscopic food.) Just as Sophie's about to go inside, she runs into Rick, who admits to having had more fun with her at last year's event.
Could it be that Rick wants Sophie back?
