Three weeks after the evidence room bombing, Andy and Sam return to 15 Division from a much-needed vacation. Marlo reveals that the bomb had a different signature that the ones Ted McDonald was using. She also lets Sam know that she's pregnant with his baby. The shock of this news barely has time to sink in when Andy is attacked in Traci's apartment. She fends off the masked assailant but the suspect escapes. The theory is the attacker may have been after Traci.

There's a nerdy coffee shop worker named Cory who is always asking Traci questions. The guy obviously has a crush on her. However, Sam is more interested in a customer who often observes Traci. Another woman, who left her balcony window open just like Andy did, was attacked a few blocks away. This woman was raped by an assailant that knew her name. The attacker promised he'd see her again.

Detective Capello from the sex crimes unit is brought in on the case. She believes the suspect in a series of attacks is escalating his crimes with more violence. Capello wants the cops of 15 to let her team handle the case. That's not going to happen. The officers take to the streets to informally warn female citizens to keep their doors locked at night.

Traci is back together with Steve Peck. She had thought that he sent her flowers with a card that had "xoxo" as part of its message. Dov realizes that the other women who have been attacked received similar flowers with the same message. The race is on to find his next target. Andy and Sam break down the front door of Laura Jacobs. The woman is fine, but she has received flowers with the "xoxo" card.

Laura is shuffled away to safety. Sam tries to talk to Andy about the Marlo situation until duty calls and they apprehend a suspect, who denies he's the attacker. The guy alibis out. Detective Capello is furious with the officers of 15 for interfering with her case. Inspector Jarvis isn't too thrilled either. As for Sam and Andy, the truth about Marlo finally comes out. It doesn't go well.

Nick officially meets Officer Juliet Ward. These two have actually met, and kissed, before. Nick just didn't know she was a cop. Juliet gets lots of background info on Nick from a rambling Chloe, who reveals lots of info on everyone else, too. One thing that doesn't come up is how Dov has been getting chummy with the pretty new waitress at the Penny.

Chris misses an AA session to make out with a married cocaine addict (who is sober now) in a car outside the meeting venue. To be fair, he didn't know the woman, Jamie, had a husband until he suggested they go back to her place. Chris is shocked to see her outside the station house. She's there waiting for her husband, who happens to be Inspector Jarvis.

In random updates, Marlo believes the evidence room bombing may not have anything to do with McDonald. She asks Dov to join her on what will certainly be a complex investigation. After Juliet finishes her first shift, she hops into a car where she informs the driver that she'll brief him on what she learned inside 15 once they get on the road. Finally, at the end of a long day, a teary-eyed Andy asks Traci to drive her home.
