Scott Hayward is a limo driver who likes to push around his coworkers to get the car he likes. His company caters to high-end customers. Scott has a regular client in the form of a top criminal lawyer named Randy Spreg. He picks up the attorney, drives to a cruise ship, then circles back to the airport every week. The limo he uses has a hidden microphone that allows the driver to listen to conversations that take place in the back. Scott Hayward is a murder victim. He was killed by a socially awkward, book-reading customs officer named Ben Crewson. The question is... why?

Jumping back in time, Liane is a waitress at a diner who flirts with Ben over cherry pie. She ends up spending the night with him. She speaks of her dreams of one day running her own flower shop. Liane mentions that she overheard a customer talking about a drug run. As she tells Ben her tale, Scott Hayward pays his bill. Later, Ben hatches a plan to help Liane fulfill her dream. He pulls a man who was asked to carry some bags through customs aside. He directs this person into a search room to find drugs and a boatload of cash. Ben confiscates the bags, but lets the suspect walk. He then hides the bags behind some roof tiles.

Oscar finds lots of receipts from the diner where Liane works at the victim's place. Angie notices how uneasy the waitress gets when she mentions Scott. A kitchen worker says Liane paid attention to a book-reading customs worker who would come into the diner. Speaking of Ben, Randy Spreg pays him a visit. He gives him until the end of the day to return his drugs and money. Ben says he needs Liane's help to get the money out of the country. He gives Liane a fake passport just before Angie enters the diner.

Ben and Liane hatch a plan to get the money through customs. He tends to her bags while a colleague takes her to the restroom. Then Ben informs his coworker that she needs to finish her initial search. Liane is caught with the drugs in her bag. Meanwhile, Ben attempts an escape with the cash. He stops his car when he sees Spreg in the middle of the road. The lawyer is promptly placed under arrest while Angie hops inside the passenger seat. She lets Ben know that he's not going anywhere.

Liane attempts to make Lucas feel sorry for her, but Angie can see through her act. She knows that she and her boyfriend, Scott, came up with the idea of robbing Spreg. Angie then lets Ben know that they found the shell casing for the bullet that killed Scott. She realizes that Ben killed the victim because he was in love with Liane. When Ben realized that she was part of a plan to set him up, he struggled with Scott before ultimately shooting him. He thought he loved Liane until she betrayed him. He was going to use the money he stole to open a flower shop. He was going to send Liane postcards from the place in prison to let her feel it. Case closed.
