Becca Winstone is certain she saw her son being forced onto a private plane. That's why it's quite the mystery when the only people a CIA field team finds aboard the grounded aircraft are a well-dressed blond woman and her two suit-wearing assistants. The woman is Sloane, a highly-respected lawyer who is in Italy for a charity auction. She claims to have no idea about Michael. Becca knows she's lying.

Michael wakes up in a room that's just one of many in a large, sprawling castle in the middle of nowhere. He makes his way outside where an armed man sipping coffee refuses to answer his questions. Michael is not bound, so he begins to walk off. BANG! A warning shot from an unseen sniper stops him in his tracks. Michael isn't going anywhere. A mystery man in a business suit is informed of the incident by phone. We don't know who he is, but it's obvious he's person calling the shots.

Dax has no choice to but to let Becca be taken into Interpol custody. Actually, he releases her to Giancarlo. Sloane asks the mystery man from before to issue the order to take Becca out before she causes more problems for them. They have an unspecified deal in the works. It has something to do with a boat being sold at the charity auction. It's an event that's going to be crashed by Becca.

Becca is shocked to learn that Mary is in Rome. Her BFF was worried after not hearing from her. Mary is also hurting because her marriage has officially fallen apart. She's grateful to be able to spend time with Becca. The visit will have to be short-lived. Becca persuades Giancarlo to play the role of her lover as she emotionlessly tells her friend to go home. Mary is crushed.

Becca is caught off guard when Mary shows up at the charity auction. Things go from bad to worse once Sloane realizes how close the two of them are. This gives the lawyer leverage should Becca cause trouble. Becca sneaks onto the boat as Giancarlo distracts Mary. She takes out a couple of armed guards before making her way below deck. She finds the real prize that will be awarded to the auction's high bidder. It's a collection of stolen diamonds. Looks like Becca just got some leverage, too.

Becca sets up a meeting with Sloane on the open water. Before that takes place, she finds herself in the unfortunate position of having to finally come clean about her past to her best friend. Giancarlo's agents will escort Mary to the airport while Becca continues her search for Michael. Speaking of Giancarlo, he has a meeting with Dax. It's clear that both men want to help Becca. Even if she can't trust the CIA, Dax assures Giancarlo that she can trust him.

Michael sees a pretty young woman injecting herself with medicine inside the castle. She warns him to give up any thoughts of escape. There are eyes everywhere. Michael is a smart kid. Judging by the castle's architecture, he believes he's being held captive in either Poland or Russia. The young woman isn't telling him much, but she does reveal that he's not in Poland.

Later, the pretty girl tries to seduce Michael in his room. Nothing happens once Michael notices a scar on her leg. He realizes she is a prisoner, too. The girl exits the room, but not before making it appear as if she'd slept with her fellow prisoner. Her name is Oksana and she lets the guard outside know that Michael is starting to trust her.

Mary is kidnapped to be used as trade bait for the diamonds. When Becca meets with Sloane via speedboat in the open water, Mary is able to jump overboard. This leads to a gun-shooting, high-speed pursuit as Sloane chases Becca around the harbor area while Giancarlo fished Mary out of the water. The mystery man orders a sniper to neutralize the situation as the chase becomes a game of hide and seek amidst other boats in the area. Eventually, the two women meet again face to face.

Becca threatens to drop the diamonds into the ocean. She tosses a few of them overboard to prove she's serious. Sloane is panicked until she notices the sniper taking aim from the shore. She now has no problem telling Becca that Michael's kidnapping isn't about her. It's about Paul. Sloane says, "The man who killed your husband has your son."

BANG! The sniper hit his mark. A bullet rips into Sloane's forehead killing her instantly. Becca has no idea what any of this means. Later, she says goodbye to Mary, who lets her friend know that Giancarlo is in love with her. Becca barely has time to process this when Dax steps over to her. Giancarlo arranged their meeting because he can't help with the next order of business. To get her son back, Becca must now find the person who murdered her husband.
