Synopsis

Coverage of the climax of European football's second club competition from the impressive Nya Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg. The French team will be looking for goals from target man Didier Drogba, whose stunning brace in the semi-final against Newcastle ended English interest in the tournament. But their Spanish opponents, impressive throughout their own domestic season, will be hoping to make up for losses in their last two appearances in European finals, both times in the Champions League. Extra-time and the silver-goal rule will apply if the match is deadlocked at full-time, with penalties if the stalemate hasn't been broken by the end of the 30 minutes.
