Lost Episode 4.11 Cabin Fever

A 16 year-old girl, Emily, gets ready for a date. However, her mother doesn't approve of the man, who is twice her age. They argue, and Emily runs out of the house into the street and is hit by a passing car! She is rushed to the hospital and tells a nurse she's pregnant. They rush her into a delivery, and her baby boy is born prematurely. Emily yells after them to name him John.

WHOOSH to John Locke carrying a torch through the jungle followed by Ben and Hurley. Hurley asks why they are looking for Jacob's cabin, and Locke tells him that Jacob will tell them how to stop the freighter people from coming and killing everyone on the island.

On the freighter, Sayid and Desmond see Keamy and his men return. The doctor works on their injured man. Keamy sees Captain Gault and jams his gun right under Gault's chin. He wants to know why Gault gave him up to Ben. Captain Gault says he's not the one who gave him up. Keamy asks who did. Gault leads him to Michael's room. Michael confesses he was the one to told Ben all of Keamy's information. Keamy tries to shoot Michael in the head, but the gun jams. Frustrated, Keamy savagely beats Michael.

THWACK! THWACK! THWACK! Locke is woken up by a sound in the jungle. He finds Horace Goodspeed chopping wood. Horace explains he was once a member of the Dharma Initiative but he's dead now, and Locke has to find him. Jacob has been waiting a long time. Locke suddenly wakes up and realizes it was a dream. However, he now knows where they need to go. Locke leads them to the mass grave where the dead Dharma Initiative members were buried after the Purge. Locke hops into the pit and begins looking through the corpses for Horace.

WHOOSH to the Emily's hospital room. A nurse explains that her baby is the youngest preemie to ever survive. Emily is overwhelmed, scared and starts to cry. She doesn't even want to hold her baby for the first time and runs out of the room. Emily's mom asks the nurse who she needs to talk to about adoption. Then she notices Richard Alpert standing in the hallway watching them.

Later, when John Locke is five years old, Alpert visits him in a foster home. His foster mother tells John to be on his best behavior. Alpert explains that he runs a school for kids who are extremely special, and they believe John might be one of them. Alpert notices a crayon drawing that's a swirling black cloud next to a screaming face. Alpert is amazed and asks John if he drew it. John nods. Alpert removes some items from his bag and places them in front of John. They are a worn baseball mitt, an old book, a glass vile filled with sand, a vintage comic book, an ancient looking compass and an old knife. He asks John what items already belong to him. Young John looks confused but concentrates on them. He reaches out and first selects the vile of sand. Then he selects the compass. He looks at the ancient book, but the knife catches his eyes and he picks it up.

Alpert is immediately disappointed and questions the choice of the knife. Is John sure it belongs to him? Young John nods yes. Alpert is disappointed. He puts the items back into his bag and stands to leave. John's foster mother returns, and Alpert tells her John isn't quite ready for their school.

WHOOSH to the mass grave where Ben explains to Hurley that it wasn't his decision to kill all the members of the Dharma Initiative. He wasn't the Others' leader at that time. Someone else was. Locke then finds Horace's corpse and searches through the jumpsuit's pockets. He finds a folded up blueprint for what would appear to be a cabin. Locke realizes he was building Jacob's cabin. Locke gives Hurley the option of leaving and returning to the beach, but Hurley doesn't want to walk through the jungle alone at night and decides to stay with them.

On the freighter, Lapidus comes in and tells them that the guy attacked in the jungle just died. The doctor couldn't do anything to save him. Keamy takes a key from Captain Gault and uses it to open a safe. Inside is a document Keamy says is their secondary protocol. If he is going to torch the island, it details where Benjamin Linus is heading. Gault says that wasn't the agreement it was supposed to be an extraction mission. Keamy says that's why there's a secondary protocol.

On the freighter deck, Captain Gault approaches Desmond and Sayid. He offers them a hiding spot so Keamy can't get to them, but Sayid has a counter-proposal. He wants the raft so he can ferry the survivors from the beach to the freighter. The only way to save their people is to get them off the island. Gault agrees. However, Desmond says he doesn't want to set foot on the island again, not with Penny coming. Sayid understands and speeds away.

WHOOSH to a 16 year-old John Locke in high school. He has been stuffed inside his locker, and his science teacher, Mr. Gellert, lets him out. Gellert takes John to the nurse's office to bandage a cut and tells John he has some exciting news. A Dr. Alpert from a company called Mittelos Laboratories is interested in John attending their summer camp. But John does not want to attend any sort of "science camp." He hates science. Gellert suggests that John embrace who he is and not try to be the quarterback, prom king or superhero. John yells at him, "Don't tell me what I can't do," and storms out.

WHOOOSH to the freighter where Lapidus uncuffs Michael so he can fix the engines. He asks why Michael didn't tell him was from flight 815. Lapidus was the only person who would've believed him. Michael pleads to Lapidus that he not fly Keamy back to the island or he'll kill everyone there. On their way, they pass by a room where Keamy and Omar are attaching something to Keamy's upper arm. They see Michael and Lapidus looking in and slam the door shut.

WHOOSH to adult Locke after his eight-story fall in physical rehabilitation. He's bitter, frustrated and tired, and wants to go back to his room. An orderly comes over and wheels him away. We reveal that it's Matthew Abaddon, and he tells Locke not to give up. He asks Locke if he believes in miracles, and Locke says no. Abaddon suggests Locke go on a walkabout, but Locke dismisses the idea. He can't "walkabout" anything. He's a cripple. Abaddon says he went on his own walkabout convinced he was one thing but came back another. He found out who he was. Abaddon tells Locke than when he's ready, he'll listen to the advice. And then Locke will owe him one.

WHOOSH to the freighter as Keamy's team is loading their weapons onto the helicopter. Lapidus refuses to take them. Keamy threatens to kill him, but Lapidus points out that he's their only pilot. Keamy shrugs, pulls out his knife and in one swift move slits the Doctor's throat. Keamy asks Lapidus if he's changed his mind yet. Then BANG! Captain Gault fires his gun and tells them to stand down. Keamy moves whip fast, draws his own gun, and BANG! Shoots Gault in the chest! Lapidus says okay, they're flying. Out of Keamy's sight, he slides his sat-phone into a bag, and they take off.

At the beach camp, the survivors hear a helicopter fly overhead. At first they're excited. The possibility of rescue this close. But it doesn't stop and continues inland. As it passes, something falls from it and smashes into a tent. Jack runs over and finds Lapidus' bag with the sat-phone hidden inside. Jack realizes someone wants them to follow the helicopter.

In the jungle, Hurley, Ben and Locke find the cabin. Ben tells Locke he has to go in alone. Ben's time is over. Locke enters the cabin and sees a man sitting in a chair. It's Christian Shephard, Jack's dead father. Never knowing Jack's father, Locke doesn't recognize him. Christian introduces himself, and Locke asks if he's Jacob. Christian says no but he can speak on his behalf. Christian asks if Locke knows why he's there. Locke says because he was chosen. Then he hears something and realizes there's someone else in the cabin with them. He looks over and it's Claire! What is she doing there? Claire says not to worry, she's fine. She's with Christian. But where's Aaron? Aaron is where he's supposed to be. Christian tells Locke the people from the freighter are already on their way back and these questions aren't important. Locke then asks how does he save the island? Cut to outside where Ben and Hurley wait. Locke comes out, and Ben anxiously asks what Jacob wants them to do. Locke says, "He wants us to move the island."
