When Dale suffers from a toothache, he refuses to go to the dentist because of his fear that the government will implant a tracking device. Dale's hatred of the government traces back to when he was 10 and his dad told him that he had to leave the family because the government was after him.
Dale decides to confront his dad and tracks him down at a gay cowboy rodeo. Instead of telling Dale that he is gay and informing him of his fear that Dale would reject him, he "confesses" that he has been secretly working for the government and is investigating the rodeo. Dale is outraged that his dad has betrayed him, but Hank persuades Dale to give his dad a second chance. Dale agrees and asks his dad to hold his hand while he goes to the dentist.
