When Bobby's inadvertent protesting of the soda machines in school attracts the attention of Olivia, a socially conscious girl, he continues fighting the power of whatever she wants in an attempt to get a date with her. His "protest" leads to the machines being removed which worries the teachers because they are using the funds to pay for their "retreat". As the teachers figure out a new plan to raise money for their "retreat", Bobby becomes "the kid who cares". Principal Moss places tickers with advertising around the school and Olivia encourages Bobby to have them removed. After Bobby leads the kids out of the school on a walkout they begin to become unruly. As Bobby struggles to maintain the crowd, he takes them to Strickland and Hank has to step in to disperse the crowd.
