Cyber Com is brought in to investigate a deadly suicide terrorist bombing at a US Marine base in Afghanistan which killed dozens of soldiers and a US senator. US Intelligence cannot figure out how the terrorist was able to set off a bomb because he was completely stripped and checked for any bombs or weapons. Through his cyber render, Gabriel is able to identify the dead bomber's terrorist brother Malik who is now in Washington DC planning another attack. More importantly, he discovers that the terrorists are in possession of a new kind of bomb material that is chemically undetectable and can be digested by the bomber, making someone a walking bomb. Gabriel and Riley are hot on the trail of the terrorist Malik and his accomplice Ibrahim, but they are shocked when they discover that Gabriel's wife, Amelia, is helping these terrorists. Gabriel is still convinced that Amelia has not gone completely rogue but the evidence suggests otherwise. Lillian privately tells Riley that she must kill Amelia if she has the shot since Gabriel's emotions are compromising him. Gabriel is able to stop and kill Malik before detonating a bomb, but when he and Riley track down the next bombing target, Gabriel finds Amelia there. She tells Gabriel that she ingested the bomb and that there is nothing he can do to stop her. Gabriel tries in vain to save her, but Riley steps in and saves Gabriel before the bomb goes off. In the end, Gabriel has to come to terms with the realization that his now dead wife was in fact a CIA agent who got flipped to the terrorist side.
