Lily tells Robin how great her summer was in San Francisco and Ted can't believe she didn't even ask about Marshall. Ted considers telling Marshall that Lily is back but after seeing the progress Marshall is making getting back in the dating game with Barney, Ted decides not to say anything. Later, Ted goes with Robin to see Lily and he immediately sees right through Lily. Robin doesn't believe in Ted's theory so the two make a bet. Lily receives a phone call from her realtor explaining that she didn't get the apartment of her choice because she couldn't commit. Could this be a metaphor for her and Marshall?
