Since Chef Ramsay decided not to eliminate anyone after the last dinner service, all five finalists remain in the competition. Following a late night of open conversation, the contestants get a little rest but then head downstairs the next morning, energetic as ever.

Chef Ramsay presents them with a gourmet burger and explains that they each must create their own version for the next challenge. He brings in Jean-Philippe, who will be the guest judge for the competition along with some of his closest friends from local restaurants. Each contestant will have 30 minutes to prepare ten burgers for the culinary professionals to sample.

Mary chooses to make a short rib burger, while Cyndi opts for a Wagyu beef burger. Susan goes another way and creates a "healthy" selection. Jon decides to make a Vegas-themed Roman burger, and Ja'Nel goes light with a salmon burger. As service begins, the cooks hurry to complete their dishes so they can spend some valuable face time with the judges. Both Susan and Mary try to charm the guests.

When the scores are tallied, Susan is in last place, and Jon wins the challenge with almost 40% of the vote. As his reward, Jon wins a trip to the spa for a green tea facial and hot stone massage. He is allowed to choose one of his fellow competitors to join him, so he invites Cyndi along for the day.

In the meantime, Susan, Ja'Nel and Mary are left behind to complete Jean-Philippe's "to do" list while he takes the afternoon off. After finishing all of the front-of-house tasks, they move on to prep the kitchen.

For the first time in the competition, all five chefs will work in one kitchen at the evening's dinner service. As the guests arrive, the contestants get off to a strong start. When actor Antonio Sabato Jr. and his friend James Graff show up unexpectedly, J.P. adds pressure by seating them at the VIP chef's table where they can watch the challengers at work.

As Ja'Nel gets slammed with risotto orders, she brings mush to the pass. A frustrated Chef Ramsay gathers all of the contestants and tells them to get a grip. In the meantime, food is moving slowly out of the kitchen, and the guests are getting restless.

After Ja'Nel gets back on track with the risotto, the team is reinvigorated. But Mary causes further delays when she serves a slider without a burger inside the bun. The kitchen is derailed when her next batch is dry. Finally, her third attempt is a home run.

With apps leaving the kitchen at a steady pace, Chef Ramsay moves on to entr?es. Although Jon delivers on the meat station, Susan stumbles when she brings burnt garnish to the pass, and Mary causes problems when she presents unevenly cooked sole.

Things gets chaotic when Susan fires entr?es before apps have been delivered to the diners. Chef Ramsay forces her to step up and run the kitchen as he storms out. When he returns, he oversees the order for the last table and completes service.

After a disastrous evening, Chef Ramsay sends the contestants back to the dorm to nominate two individuals. They all agree to put Mary on the chopping block but are unable to come to a unanimous conclusion about a second choice. They tell Chef Ramsay the vote is split between Susan and Ja'Nel. Although it's a difficult decision, he sends Susan home.
