Rusty's got new status among the geek elite at CRU, now that word's spread about the grant. Dana, a cute but awkward Engineering coed he's failed to notice since freshman year, approaches him as a gaggle of nerdy coeds check him out. But before Rusty can see what's right in front of him, a sexy Tri-Pi, Erika, catches his eye. Ashleigh, who needs to relieve some of her fire guilt through philanthropy, watches Rusty's romantic follies and gets an idea. Instead of a stud auction, how about a nerd auction? she's convinced the geek chic is in, so she talks Rusty into taking a seat in her makeover chair. It's also good distraction, since Ash is still mad at Fisher. Dale also agrees to the auction, but at a 5% cut -- and sorry, sister, no makeovers. At Dobler's, Erika bids on Rusty and wins, but it's not at all what Rusty was hoping for. She's bought him just so he'll come to her sorority house and fix her TiVo... and her sister's computer, and tutor a couple of others, and so on. Rusty's crushed. Even worse, he blows off Dana, again, who's a little more together than when she first talked to him. Ashleigh sees the blowoff and -- thanks to an unexpected run-in with Fisher just minutes earlier -- publicy vents her anger on Rusty, who slinks away. A day later, Rusty's unmade his makeover and gone back to being same ol' Rusty. He's learned his lesson. He sees Dana hanging out and decides to brave an apology. But she lets him have it! The more she yells, though, the cuter she gets, and by the time she storms off, Rusty just might be smitten. Casey's already not too keen on going to the IFC/Panhellenic meeting, but when Katherine corners her beforehand and says it's her big day, Casey gulps and waits for the other shoe to drop. But, surprise! Katherine is offering the Vice President Judicial position, again. Wait, what? Casey is speechless. But her first judicial investigation is to find out who started the Gamma Psi house fire GREAT. Even her new official clipboard (it has her name on it and everything) isn't enough to lift residual guilt. The police have closed the case, but Katherine knows the candle was out when she left, and it's gonna drive her nuts until she gets the truth. Casey promises to get to the bottom of it. But she's so consumed by guilt that she confesses everything to the Gamma Psi chapter president, Natalie. Evan warned her not to do it and, sure enough, Natalie tries to balckmail Casey into giving the ZBZ house (the actual house!) to Gamma Psi in exchange for her silence. Casey says she'll think about it. But she's seen something among Natalie's personal effects that helps her figure out what she was looking for at Gamma Psi in the first place. She poses as an adoring fan with one of the Songfest judges, who reveals that Natalie traded sex with him for a winning score. In a bold move (with a little more advice from Evan), Casey calls Katherine and Natalie to a neutral location and lays it all out: the fire, the Songfest sex scam, and Natalie's blackmail. Katherine is disappointed in Casey, but even more so in her sister. She decides that, in light of everything, the houses are "even." Katherine tells Casey that turning her in would only cause more scandal than the whole thing is worth. Casey's relieved, and so are the rest of the ZBZs. Rebecca and Cappie are both trying to get into the ever-over-subcribed "Human Sexuality" class; he's been wanting in since freshman year. While trying to corner the prof to get special permission, they keep running into each other. It's awkward at first, but when Cappie finds out Rebecca's thinking about dating Evan, he can't help but tell her she's better off avoiding Chambers. Rebecca, being Rebecca, ignores him. she still appreciates the advice, though, and is glad they're talking again. Cappie tells Casey about his new friendship with Rebecca, and Casey tries to be grown-up about it. But she has news too: She went to Evan for advice about the fire. Also, she and Evan are taking a class together. With that news, it's Cappie's turn to play grown-up. And the post-expulsions drama between Evan and Cappie takes on a new twist: After their feud boils over at an Amphora meeting, they find themselves summarily drummed out of the secret society. Goodbye to all that.
