There's a learning curve going on at Cyprus-Rhodes and it's not taking place in the classroom. Physics, English and Psychology aside, these lessons are about life.

For Casey, it takes the form of a competition just who will be the Sweetheart of Omega Chi? The year before it was Zeta Beta Zeta's president (and Casey's mentor) Frannie. And now it's Casey's turn. With Evan pulling for her, she seems like a shoo-in but there's one little problem. Due to rarely if ever going to class, Frannie is not going to graduate on time. The news is devastating. But wait! Frannie's found a fix for her broken ego. If Casey drops out of the Omega Chi Sweetheart Competition, Frannie will surely retake the crown.

On the other side of campus, Rusty is having his own problems. Now that he and Jen Z. are officially and biblically a couple they want to spend every minute together. But where? Jen's room is off limits and Rusty has Dale, who refuses to cooperate and vacate the premises due to the presence of a third roommate. When no one was looking, Envy moved in. Now Dale wants Jen Z. gone and Rusty back as his buddy.

Meanwhile, strapped for cash Cappie has signed up to be the subject of a test. If he can remain alert and answer questions for 30 hours, he'll leave the psyche building with $300. The student asking the questions? Rebecca who reacts to Cappie as if she's just been locked in a room with a housebroken baboon.

So who's a friend and who's a foe? Everyone's about to find out. When Evan encourages Casey not to drop out of the competition, Frannie goes ballistic. Mentor smentor. She wants the crown and she's willing to roll right over Casey to get it. "You go girl!" never had a more lethal meaning.

Then there's Dale. He's hurt and goes on the attack way, say, a ten-year-old would. By the time he's done doing mature things like stealing milk and wiring the room so only he has power, Rusty want nothing to do with him. But Dale's nemesis Jen Z. talks Rusty down and the boys back together friends for life or at least the semester.

Meanwhile, Rebecca finds out she's been duped. Seems she's been the subject of this 30-hour test too. But with exhaustion making Rebecca and Cappie slaphappy and honest, both find out that what you see is not always what is there. Future romance? Future friends? Only time will tell.

Speaking of telling, someone's spilling the beans about the Greek system in the school newspaper. But who's gone underground to get the scoop? And whatever happened to Greek loyalty?
