When Melanie (Tia Mowry) learns that she is on academic probation and that the grant money she needed to cover her tuition has been revoked, Derwin (Pooch Hall) assures Melanie that he will help her with her finances. However, when Derwin's agent, Irv (guest star PJ Byrne), informs him that his contract negotiations aren't going as well as they expected, Melanie feels like she has no other choice but to swallow her pride and ask her parents for the money.
Meanwhile, Tasha (Wendy Raquel Robinson) and Malik (Hosea Chanchez) are totally freaked out when it is accidentally revealed that Tasha's boyfriend, Rick (Rick Fox guest stars as himself), and Malik's wife, Robin (Robin Given guest stars as herself), have a past together.
