Flashpoint Episode 2.17 Unconditional Love

A young man appears to be the victim of a crime, and is thought to be taken hostage. The SRU team is brought in to find him after his captor carjacks a woman whose baby is in the car. They hide out in a hotel room while SRU tries to figure out how to burst into the room without hurting the baby. Jules investigates the boy's life and finds that he is a deeply disturbed psychopath who has no empathy for other human beings. He is actually acting as if he was kidnapped, and planning his first kill. By the time the team figures out what is going on with this young man, he has escaped into the sewer system and ends up under a public skating rink. The team gives chase until he takes a young skating attendant hostage. Finally, the young man's mother arrives and tells them that he is incapable of feeling anything. The team has to make the difficult decision of whether or not they should take their subject out.
