A traumatic snow mobile accident brought two stepbrothers into the ER with massive injuries. Both Ray and Gates were fighting over who got to be in the ER. Kovac took over and told them they were going to continue acting like babies, he would treat them like babies.

Neela responded to Gates call for a consultant on one of his patients. She gave him the cold shoulder and he wanted to know what was wrong. She said it was obvious that the last time she saw Meg, she practically got assaulted and blamed Gates for the entire fight. He apologized for everything and told her he was moving out.

Ben and Sam witnessed a tense moment between Kovac and Abby and she told him that's why she never dated anybody from work. She told him that she was caught off guard when he kissed her and the kiss shouldn't lead to anything serious.

Neela sided with Gates over Ray in an argument in the ER. Ray asked to see Neela privately, where the two continued to argue in front of the ER. He ended the conversation by announcing she was screwing Gates. She couldn't believe he would say that and told him it was none of his business. Ray thought that Gates was clouding Neela's judgment.

Dennis, who was involved in the snow mobile accident, let Ray know that it was his stepbrother, Clark, who was driving, but he didn't want to get him in trouble, so he took the blame. When his stepfather arrived, it was clear that Clark was the favored one.

Pratt was working with Abby in the ER and was interrupted by Angela. She said she needed to talk to him regarding the patient who died, Edgar Dixon. He told her that his wife wasn't pressing any charges for distributing the drugs, but Angela said the hospital was not happy with the report that was filled out.

Alex came by to help out with the volunteer program. It wasn't his idea, but Sam's. The whole time, Alex was rude to Gracie and Ben. Sam wanted him to improve his attitude. Ben just watched from afar as Sam chastised Alex. Later, Alex got into a fight with Gracie and slapped her when she slapped him first.

Sarah stopped by to ask Gates if it was true that he was moving out. He confirmed it and she had a breakdown. Gates went chasing after her and she started crying and told him she didn't want him to leave her. He tried to make her smile and it worked. Meg came by to pick her up.

Kovac and Abby were arguing about Eddie, but stopped when they saw Weaver clearing out her locker. Kovac left the room and gave Abby and Weaver a chance to talk. Weaver admitted to Abby that she was going to miss the hospital. Abby said an emotional goodbye to Weaver.

Ray called Neela to check out Dennis' condition. When Dennis was rushed to surgery, Ray asked Neela to stay behind to tell her something. But, before he could get the words out, Gates interrupted them. Neela followed Gates away. Dennis' stepfather came by looking for his stepson, but Ray told him he went to surgery. The stepfather still seemed more concerned with Clark. Ray told the man that Clark was driving the snowmobile and not Dennis.

Dennis' stepfather came by looking for his stepson, but Ray told him he went to surgery. The stepfather still seemed more concerned with Clark. Ray told the man that Clark was driving the snowmobile and not Dennis and that Clark wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for Dennis carrying him out of the snow.

Two detectives came by looking to question Pratt in the death of Edgar. Abby admitted that she was the one who wrote the complaint about his death, but had no idea it was Pratt who distributed the drugs at the church. The detectives accused Pratt of killing Edgar by giving him medication without a prescription. They handcuffed him and arrested him.

Kovac was becoming annoyed with Abby's concern for Eddy and his lung condition. She told him to quit being jealous. She later found Eddy at a bar and wanted to tell him to take better care if himself. He told Abby that he kept wanting her to take care of him for alternative reasons, but refused to give them. Abby walked out on him.

Eddy chased after Abby to tell her some startling news: he is her biological father. She couldn't believe it. He told her he found out all the information about where she was through her mother. Abby couldn't believe he stayed away for so long. She didn't want anything to do with him and told him to go away.

Kovac stopped Weaver in the parking lot to tell her good-bye. He told her how she changed his life and he wanted to thank her. She thanked him back for all of the kind words he shared with her and they hugged each other. She reminded him that the hospital was about people and medicine and not about office politics. He promised to take care of the ER for her.

Ben and Sam shared some quiet time together in the apartment. She told him that her rule about dating co-workers was more of a guideline. Sam took Ben by the hand and led him to her bedroom. While, Alex crept downstairs to watch television. He lit a match and set the entire apartment on fire!

Gates and Neela were having an intimate moment and were interrupted by his phone. Sarah called to tell her that her mom wasn't waking up. Sarah didn't know where they were at, she just said they were in the car and parked on the side.

Abby came home with Joe and tried reaching Kovac but couldn't. She turned around and found Curtis Ames sitting silently in a chair. He demanded she reach Kovac by phone. When she told him that he wasn't picking up the phone, Ames demanded she keep calling him.
