Eleventh Hour Episode 1.06 Frozen

Hood gets called in to help solve the mystery of a college co-ed who was frozen to death and will not thaw, despite blistering heat of the Los Angeles sun. Hood believes solving the mystery of what could have caused the freezing will lead them to their killer, but when another body shows up with the same COD, the pressure mounts to find the solution quickly. Hood discovers a chemical reaction that pulls heat out of the victim's bodies, which he surmises would be invaluable in organ preservation.

Meanwhile Rachel researches patents for this process. They find the company that developed this compound and determine that they are actively testing it on organs donated by terminally ill clients of a cryogenic preservation lab. Since both victims were terminally ill, the company and its employees seem to be connected. Only when Hood figures out how the compound was being administered, does he find the culprit and though the murderer has already injected his final victim, Hood uses his knowledge to save his life.
