Missing professional shogi player Nishikido, who was suspected of matching fixing, was murdered and found dead. At the crime scene was a shogi board with one leg cut off. The kids are discussing the origin of the term "yaocho" (match fixing) featured in the article Conan was reading when Haneda Shukichi shows up.
