Cynthia (Loretta Devine) sees her friend's husband with another woman, but doesn't know if she should tell her. After much pressure from Maxine (Amber Stevens West) to do the right thing, Cynthia calls her friend and loses the friendship. The Carmichaels figure Maxine's lack of life experience led to her poor advice, to which she hastily outs herself as a former cheater, and it was with Jerrod (Jerrod Carmichael) as she was ending things with her former boyfriend. Jerrod wants Maxine to promise him she'll never cheat, but Maxine says it'll just be words. Agreeing that the fear of cheating isn't as bad as breaking up, Jerrod and Maxine remain together.
