Just call her the girl with the dragonfly tattoo. That's one way to describe the young dead woman that med student Dora Mason finds on her table instead of the cadaver she's been working on all semester. Megan gets into a battle of egos with Dora's boss, Dr. Cameron Fischer (guest star Gregory Harrison), as to whether this was a hospital mix-up or murder. Guess who wins the argument.

Megan invites Dora and her gross anatomy colleagues back to the medical examiner's office to see the inner-workings of a real live autopsy. Well, it's as live as an autopsy can be. It comes to light that two of the students, Shane and Doug, knew the girl while she was alive. The story is they both tried to pick her up at a bar that's located across from the limo service company where the victim once worked.

The dead woman's name is Jackie Johnson. A coworker named Mitch suggests the girl may have been running from someone. Jackie hadn't worked for the limo service for six months, yet she was still able to afford a nice apartment. Generic pills and several small hairs are found in the victim's place.

Dani the driver of dead people continues to relentlessly flirt with Peter, who shoots down any notion of the two of them hooking up. Kate agrees that dating a colleague is not a wise move. There's some backstory here. Kate was a student under Cameron Fischer. She knows he likes pretty, blonde students much like the victim. She pays a visit to her former teacher to ask if he killed anyone lately, but the slimy doc alibis out.

After Megan reprimands Ethan and Dora for examining the body without her, she realizes that Jackie's lymph nodes bear traces of green tattoo ink. This is from the logo of a local Irish rock band hidden by the dragonfly tattoo. The group's leader, Ronan Gallagher, says the victim's real name was Jackie O'Shea. The two of them had been childhood sweethearts, but he couldn't find her after some rocky times. Ronan seems genuinely shaken by Jackie's death.

The hair found at the crime scene along with some irregularities regarding the victim's uterus suggests that she recently gave birth. The team tracks down the midwife who helped with this low profile pregnancy. She says Jackie was planning to give her baby up for adoption. But then the new mom started having second thoughts.

Dora the med student notices that the knot that was used to cut off the extremities in her original cadaver is not the one she originally tied. It does, however, look a lot like the knot classmate Shane used on his cadaver. Shane may not have murdered Jackie, but that doesn't mean he didn't help ditch the body because he's in cahoots with the killer.

The murder weapon is a baseball bat that is traced back to Ronan, who also happens to be the father of Jackie's baby. Again, Ronan seems completely shaken by the news that Jackie was pregnant. Father-to-be Bud has a gut feeling this guy is not the killer. As for Shane, he used to work at the limo service. His brother Mitch still does. Megan realizes the two men are siblings, as they both share a feature known as club thumbs. Talk about fingering a suspect!

Jackie and Mitch had a deal to broker her baby illegally. When she changed her mind, he tried to swipe the infant. Jackie attacked him with the bat Mitch used to kill her. Megan realizes that a rash on Mitch's hand proves that he's been giving the baby a certain type of medicine as recently as a few hours ago. Bud finds the child crying in a crib. He later delivers the baby girl to her grateful father, Ronan.

Megan longs for some quality time with Lacey where all cell phones and computers are powered down. Of course, she wasn't planning on having her mom join them so that she could bring up a few embarrassing stories from her childhood. Joan later explains that all tales told are actually meant to be a compliment about her daughter's character. Eventually, Megan does get her quality time with Lacey during a Robert Pattinson movie marathon. We're guessing vampires were involved.

Even though they never went out on a date, things are a little awkward between Peter and Dani. The only thing they talk about is the problems Dani's having with her dad. Then the talking stops altogether, as these two are much too busy kissing. So much for that whole "you shouldn't date coworkers" theory!
