After tech entrepreneur Randy Brenner is murdered and found in a picture-perfect pose, Red (James Spader) knows the crime was committed by performance artist/murderer Drexel. After all, Drexel did just advertise the murder in an underground zine. Red sets out to find Rimona, a reporter who will be interviewing Drexel, while the task force investigates the crime scene. Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) discovers that photos of Brenner were taken from his webcam, and the team learns that Drexel took over Brenner's computer using a RAT, or remote access trojan. Rimona brings Red to her interview with Drexel, and Drexel reveals that Brenner was actually running a RAT Farm, a business that sold clients access to hacked webcams for unauthorized and unethical surveillance. Red explains his motivation for getting involved in the case: One of his enemies commissioned a job from Drexel, and Red needs to find him - or her.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nik calls Liz (Megan Boone) to tell her that Tom (Ryan Eggold) is in the hospital and police are waiting for him to wake up so they can question him about the robbery. After a close brush with death, Tom does wake up, but to his surprise, the security expert who was brought in to identify Tom actually lies to protect him. Red later admits to Liz that he orchestrated the lie to save Tom; although he doesn't approve of Liz's choice to be with him, the mistake is hers to make. In the hospital room, Liz and Tom feel the baby kicking, and she decides she wants to keep it.

Later, Red and Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) visit an estate and pull an unknown man out of bed. Red asks the man, art dealer Paul Allond, where Rostova is. Paul explains that a woman called, telling him to expect a painting she commissioned - and that Red would come to pick up the painting. They open the crate containing the painting, and it depicts Liz standing over a grave. The name on the tombstone? Reddington.
