The Story

Jillian walked into the room and noticed she was now down to a team of all girls. She had asked the mothers and daughters to leave so she could get some one-on-one time with Coleen. Jillian wanted to make sure Coleen was ready to focus, and stop feeling guilty about Jerry being eliminated.

Vicky had noticed that the other teams were getting stronger and she was afraid her injuries would hold her back. She had asked for a little alone time with Bob to discuss how she should manage her workouts. Bob was ready to work around her knee injuries and told her she shouldn't let her partner bring her down.

Amy and Phillip were rewarded with a trip home after winning a challenge during the first week. They were so excited to see their kids and be back in South Carolina, even if it was for a short time.

Shellay and Amy won 24 hours with a trainer during their first week's challenge. They thought it would be a day of pampering with Jillian. Instead, they found themselves at the 24-Hour Fitness in Hollywood with her ready to work them out.

Jillian was at her wits end with Shellay's laziness. As Amy continued her cardio workout, Jillian took the time to work with Shellay. Shellay began crying when Jillian urged her to face her fears of success and weight loss. Jillian wanted Shellay to understand she was worth it.

The contestants already had reservations as they gathered around a giant tank of water for their challenge. Ali informed the teams it was a strength endurance challenge and the goal was to keep their head above water. If a player let go of their handle and fell in the water, they were eliminated. The family that won would get a care package from home and a three-day pass to Universal Studios in Hollywood.

As the water drained from the tank, the teams found it harder and harder to hang on. It came down to Vicky and Amy as the last two. They tested their endurance for close to two hours. In the end, Vicky won the challenge.

Brady was so proud of his wife for winning the challenge. They opened up their package from home and started to cry as they looked at the various gifts their children had made for them. Then they got to call home and talk to their kids, which made them even more emotional. Brady and Vicky could feel themselves growing closer as a couple.

Vicky chose to give the other package from home to Amy and Shellay, because they'd come so close to winning the challenge. The mother and daughter became very emotional as they saw the little presents Shellay's husband/Amy's father had given them.

The Pink team, Yellow team, and Purple team were on the treadmill when Jillian walked in. She wanted to know what extra cardio they had done while she was away, and each woman came up with an excuse as to why they didn't do the full cardio workout Jillian had tasked them with.

Jillian lost her temper with all the women. She told them that she was sick of their excuses and if they really wanted to go home, they should turn around walk out of the gym. When Amy laughed at Jillian's anger, Jillian sent her back to her room and told her she was done looking at her for the day.
