The contestants arrive in Park City, Utah to begin their week of training with Olympic athletes. They meet with Dolvett, who introduces them to eight-time Olympic speed skater Apollo Ohno. Apollo introduces the contestants to the Olympic training center, then Dolvett takes the reigns to push them to the limit.

The contestants are battling to avoid another yellow line elimination this week, so there's no room for laziness. During the rigorous workouts, Apollo gives the contestants a few tips on handling the psychological aspects of training.

During their first night in Utah, the contestants discuss their nervousness about being off the ranch. It's a scary adventure, but it's also a good trial run for life outside of the ranch. Rachel has planned ahead by preparing a week's worth of healthy meals in advance. The other contestants are stressed, nervous, and eager to avoid falling back into their old stress-eating habits.

The next day, the contestants meet with Alison for a curling competition that comes with a $5,000 prize. It takes a while for the contestants to get used to the feel of the curling stone, but eventually Rachel, Bobby, David and Chelsea move on to the final round. In the end, Rachel lands three stones in the red circle to win yet another challenge. She may have won $5,000, but now she's the number one threat on the ranch.

The following day, the contestants meet with Bob for an Olympics-inspired training session. Bob knows that whenever the contestants travel, the weigh-in results are terrible, so he's relentless in this workout. The contestants run through a series of training obstacles to keep in shape, including a clumsy piggyback challenge that puts it all into perspective.

Bob has a heart-to-heart with Bobby, who tells his trainer that he's been very stressed about the Utah trip and the heightened competition level at this point in the show. He even had a binge-eating breakdown earlier in the week. Bob is concerned about Bobby's weigh-in, but he's more concerned that Bobby isn't mentally ready to leave the ranch yet.

The next morning, Bob arrives at the clubhouse with groceries to make a team breakfast. Bob knows how difficult it can be to eat healthy on the road, so a sensible breakfast is a must for the group. Dolvett has a side conversation with Rachel to discuss how her success on the show has helped to rekindle her relationship with her father.

Later, the contestants meet Alison and two U.S.A. Olympic bobsledders at a bobsledding track. Lolo Jones shares her inspiring second chance story with the contestants, which reminds them that failure is only an obstacle on their paths to success. Alison then tells the contestants that they'll be competing in a bobsledding competition for a one-pound advantage in this week's weigh-in. Rather than riding a bobsled down the course, they'll be running up the track. It's a difficult challenge, but a one-pound advantage is a serious prize.

The race begins and most of the contestants quickly run out of steam. Jay and Rachel, the two frontrunners of the house, take a substantial lead while the others fall behind. It's a two-person competition now. Jay takes an early lead, but he quickly begins to struggle with the high altitude. Rachel eventually crosses the finish line alone, winning both challenges this week. She definitely has a target on her back now.

All of the contestants are nervous about this week's weigh-in, but Rachel is uncomfortable with the target on her back. If she falls below the yellow line, then her fellow contestants will definitely vote her off. Jillian finally helps Jennifer overcome her fear of the box jump. After a last chance workout in the Olympics gym, it's time for the moment of truth: the Week 12 weigh-ins.

It's time for the Week 12 weigh-ins. All of the contestants have struggled with food issues this week, but they've also worked very hard. Let's see if it pays off. Rachel takes to the scale first and clocks a six-pound loss. Jennifer doesn't lose any weight this week, but she's not surprised. She felt it all week. David drops four pounds, Marie ditches five pounds, Chelsea sheds three pounds, Tanya loses two pounds, Jay gains one pound, and Bobby gains two pounds.

It's been a tough week for everyone, and now the remaining contestants must decide whether to send Jay or Bobby home. The two contenders briefly present their cases to the other contestants, then it's decision time. Tanya votes to send Jay home because Bobby needs to be on the ranch. Jennifer and Rachel also vote to send Jay home. One more vote will send the cowboy packing.

Marie votes to send Bobby home, but David votes to send Jay home because Bobby needs to be here more. David feels terrible, but Jay understands. Unfortunately, it's the end of the road for the rodeo cowboy who's heading home 104 pounds lighter.
