Teams traveled to the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean where father and daughter Steve & Allie won the leg at a costly price and cowboys Jet & Cord came in last but were spared elimination.

TAKE A SEAT

Departing the Pit Stop in first place at 12:35am, detectives Louie & Michael opened their clue instructing them to fly 5,000 miles to the Seychelles, a chain of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean. Due to its remote exotic location, teams would all be traveling on the same flight. When they landed on the island of Mahe, they had to search for a kiosk in the airport where they would grab a number and their next clue.

When teams met up in Charles De Gaulle Airport for their flight to the Seychelles, some made better use of their time than others. Cowboys Jet & Cord and detectives Louie & Michael decided to get some food while dating models Brent & Caite, sick of their dismal performance in past legs, went to an automated kiosk and made sure they got seats in row 7 on the plane. Father and daughter Steve & Allie went to the ticket counter and got seats in row 10 and brothers Dan & Jordan, aware of the significance of the number pull once they got off the plane, snagged seats in row 15. When dating couple Carol & Brandy just accepted their seat assignment way back in row 25, Brandy said, "Are you sure? That may have been a tactical error on our part not sitting close to the front of the plane."

PICK A NUMBER

Landing in Mahe, dating couple Brent & Caite exited the plane first followed by Steve & Allie and brothers Dan & Jordan while Louie & Michael, Carol & Brandy, and Jet & Cord slowly filtered off the plane having sat further back. Finding the kiosk first, Brent & Caite opened their clue to discover that they would be flying to the island of La Digue. Seating assignments on the flight to Mahe became critical because, with only three helicopters available, the first three teams would be departing to La Digue an hour ahead of the back three teams. Brent said, "It was awesome to be the first team on the helicopter. It was just important for us to try and start the day as positive as possible." Brothers Dan & Jordan grabbed the third helicopter seat behind father and daughter Steve & Allie and understood the significance immediately. Dan told his brother, "This is huge."

As the front three teams boarded their helicopters with a comfortable hour lead, Louie & Michael, Carol & Brandy, and Jet & Cord could do nothing but wait. Brandy said, "These guys are going to have a jump on us, which sucks." Carol later added, "It was hard to sit there and wait for the helicopters. The three strongest teams were in fourth, fifth, and sixth and I think Brent & Caite got lucky today."

ANIMAL ANTICS

Brent & Caite enjoyed the stunning view of crystal blue waters and lush green islands from their helicopter as they approached La Digue. Still thinking about the race, Caite told Brent, "We're gonna get so far ahead of the last couple teams. I just want to get the mean lesbians out." After landing, the dating models ripped open their clue to find a Detour featuring a choice between Turtle Toddle and Ox Trot. In Turtle Toddle, teams had to use a banana to lure a giant tortoise, over 100 years old and weighing over 500 pounds, across a lawn to a marker. Then, each team member had to grab a large bunch of bananas, carry them 1.5 miles to the harbor, and deliver them to the fruit merchant. In Ox Trot, teams brought a cart to a clearing where they had to load it up with coconuts without losing any cargo. Then an ox handler would attach an ox to the cart and teams had to deliver the cargo to the harbor.

As Brent & Caite started loading a cart full of coconuts, father and daughter Steve & Allie landed on La Digue and chose Turtle Toddle. Steve later explained, "I've never met an ox that I could trust and turtles are cool." Running onto the field, Steve & Allie chose a tortoise and began to lure it into walking by putting a tempting piece of banana in front of it. The tortoise took the bait and began to motor as fast as its short legs would allow while Allie encouraged the tortoise's progress. When the tortoise crossed the finish line, Allie rewarded it with the banana it so desperately wanted. The father and daughter then each picked up a massive bunch of bananas and began the walk to the harbor. The huge bundle gave Allie some problems as she noted, "This is what it's like I guess to have a two-year old all day, lugging it around."

In loading their cart, Brent & Caite tossed a coconut that hit the edge and bounced onto the ground right next to the cart's wheel unnoticed by the dating models. After getting an ox hitched to their cart, Brent & Caite slowly drove away, one coconut short. Along the ride to the harbor, the dating models discovered that relying on animals to get a task done could be frustrating. With their ox moving slowly and at times stopping altogether, Brent & Caite watched helplessly as Steve & Allie walked past them carrying bananas to take the lead. Brent said, "They already finished the turtle thing. This is what I was afraid of."

LIGHTEN THE LOAD

Arriving at the harbor, Steve & Allie successfully delivered their bundles of bananas to the fruit merchant and received their next clue. Opening it, the father and daughter discovered that they now had to swim out to a boat and take it to the waters off St. Pierre Island where the boat captain would give them their next clue.

After a quick swim, Steve & Allie boarded their boat and set off to St. Pierre feeling comfortable in first place. However, the father and daughter spotted Dan & Jordan who passed Brent & Caite with the help of Box the Ox, named in honor of their father's packing company, carrying their bags to the shoreline. Steve & Allie suddenly realized that they left their bags on the field with the banana loving turtles. Having their passports and money in the fanny pack, Steve wanted to push ahead, ditching their bags in favor of preserving their lead on Dan & Jordan. Allie disagreed with her father, wanting to go back for her bag and the makeup it contained. Ultimately, Steve overruled his daughter, saying, "Sometimes she doesn't realize how cute she is. She doesn't need the makeup." Allie joked, "It'll make us faster. That's for sure."

When Brent & Caite finally arrived at the marina, the fruit merchant wouldn't hand them their clue, saying, "It's not enough." Unaware that they had left one coconut behind at the start, Brent & Caite fumed, insisting to the vendor they delivered a full cart. Brent even threatened to quit, but ultimately the pair got back on their cart and slowly returned to pick up the remaining coconut. As their ox started the journey, Caite sulked, "I don't even want to play anymore. This is so stupid." As she started to cry over losing their lead and now falling behind, Caite added, "This is so unfair."

TAKE A DIVE

Arriving just off the shore of St. Pierre Island, Steve & Allie received a Roadblock clue from their captain. In it, one team member had to dive into the crystal blue waters of the Indian Ocean and find a submerged case of seven bottles, figure out how to untie them, and then bring one of the seven bottles up to the surface. With that task completed, team members could work together to assemble a map once on shore. The map would lead them along a path to their most valued treasure, the Pit Stop.

Taking off his shirt, Steve dove into the water, swam to the marked buoy, and then dove under to search for the bottles. Allie revealed that her father includes swimming as part of his exercise regimen, making him the perfect choice for the task. In one try, Steve swam to the ocean floor, untied a bottle, and returned with it to the surface. After a quick swim back to the boat, Steve & Allie headed towards the island of Praslin, trying to stay ahead of second place Dan & Jordan who were just starting the dive.

LUCKY SEVEN

Arriving just off the shore of Praslin, Steve & Allie jumped overboard and swam to the beautiful beach where they opened the bottle Steve retrieved from the ocean floor. Allie began to quickly assemble the pieces of the puzzle onto the map trying to pinpoint the location of the Pit Stop. Steve recognized the rock near them and located it on the map becoming instantly oriented on the direction they needed to run.

As Dan & Jordan waded to shore, Steve & Allie took off running across the beach and through a wooded area until they finally saw Phil in the clearing. Stepping onto the mat, the father and daughter officially claimed their first victory, although they lost their backpacks to achieve that goal. For their win, Steve & Allie received a positively uplifting reward from 7-Up for now and later. During the Pit Stop, they got to dine oceanside, receive massages, and later would receive $7,000 each, and all the 7-Up they could drink. Allie later said, "However much longer we're in the race without a backpack, that's totally worth it."

CRAZY COCONUTS

With Brent & Caite and Louie & Michael battling for third and fourth place at the Road Block, cowboys Jet & Cord and dating couple Carol & Brandy faced off in a struggle to stay in the race. The dating couple ditched their attempt at luring the tortoise across the field when it veered off away from the couple uninterested in the banana Brandy tried coaxing it with. Carol & Brandy loaded their cart well behind Jet & Cord in last place, but they saw a ray of hope when they passed by the cowboys on the trail to the fruit merchant at the shore because Jet & Cord missed a coconut when they loaded their cart. However, Carol & Brandy's excitement was very short lived. When they arrived at the fruit merchant, he told them that they didn't load all of the coconuts either. In fact, the dating couple rolled right over the one coconut they had missed in loading their cart. An exasperated Carol said, "Are you kidding me?" When the cowboys now passed a returning Carol & Brandy on the road after picking up their lone coconut, Cord said, "One behind us. There's still hope."

WISHFUL THINKING

Brent & Caite and Louie & Michael arrived at the Pit Stop in third and fourth place respectively within moments of each other. The two teams had plenty to tell Phil when he asked them about which team they would like to see eliminated. Both teams without hesitation said Carol & Brandy. Michael said that the dating couple had "chips on their shoulders. They're negative people." After referencing the now infamous tiara line, Caite added, "All I have been is nice to them and they just keep being mean to me. They're just so rude. They don't deserve to be here." Brent capped the conversation by saying, "From what I heard, it's pretty anonymous [sic] amongst the teams."

BOTCHED BOTTLE

After diving under the ocean to retrieve a bottle, Cord returned to his brother and the cowboys headed towards the island Pit Stop happy to still be ahead of Carol & Brandy. When the boat idled, Jet & Cord jumped into the water and swam to shore, leaving their bottle containing the map to the Pit Stop behind. Arriving on the beach, the cowboys didn't quite know what to do, but they ran along the sand until they spotted the Pit Stop and ran up to Phil who began to question them about how they got there. Then, Phil delivered the bombshell that Jet & Cord needed to retrieve the bottle from the boat, then remove what was inside the bottle, and bring the contents to shore before he could check them in.

A determined Jet & Cord ran back into the water and swam as fast as they could to their boat just as dating couple Carol & Brandy approached the island. The cowboys reached their boat while the dating couple swam to shore. With the cowboys swimming furiously to catch up, Carol & Brandy emptied their bottle in the sand and put together the pieces of the puzzle. With Jet & Cord right behind them, the dating couple held the cowboys off to finish in fifth place.

Returning to the mat, now in last place, Jet & Cord waited to hear the bad news from Phil. Instead, Phil told the relieved and stunned pair that this was a non-elimination leg. Cord said, "I think the odds are definitely against us." Jet added, "Champions aren't necessarily the people who ride the most bulls. They're the people that can get bucked off and still pick themselves back up and go get on another one. When you hit bottom, there's only one place to go and that's up."
