The five remaining teams traveled 1,000 miles to Almaty, Kazakhstan where a race for the Fast Forward between Nick & Starr and Terence & Sarah put the siblings back on top to win an unprecedented fourth straight leg, and sealing the fate of the newly dating couple.

LOVE STORY

Departing the Pit Stop in first place at 10:14pm, siblings Nick & Starr opened their clue to discover they had to fly 1,000 miles to Almaty, Kazakhstan and travel by taxi to the Alel Agro Chicken Factory.

The siblings decided to go to a nearby hotel to research flights along with mother and son Toni & Dallas. While Nick and Toni did all of the legwork, Dallas and Starr continued their flirtation. Dallas inquired if Starr was a troublemaker in school, to which she confessed that she was. After finding out that Dallas didn't consider himself to be a shy person, Starr noted that he never made eye contact with her in Los Angeles. Dallas replied that it was because he was on the race, prompting a laugh from Starr. Toni interrupted the potential lovebirds at this point to tell them she and Nick had found a Lufthansa flight landing in Almaty at 11:50pm, but they would have to purchase tickets at the airport. On the way to the airport, Dallas said, "It's tough. I want to be able to help out Nick & Starr as much as possible, especially Starr, but I also want to win a million dollars. If I win the million at least I'll be able to pay for dinner."

OUT OF INDIA

At the airport, Nick & Starr booked seats on the 11:50pm flight to Almaty along with Toni & Dallas and separated couple Ken & Tina who snagged the last tickets on the flight. Newly dating couple Terence & Sarah settled for a flight that landed in Almaty at 1:20am. Frat boys Andrew & Dan continued on their losing path by getting the last flight out of India, on which they would be all alone and significantly behind.

Landing in Almaty, Kazakhstan at almost midnight, the three lead teams all arrived at the Alel Agro Chicken Factory within seconds of each other and discovered that it wouldn't be open until 7:30am. Terence & Sarah soon joined the other teams, but, as the sun rose hours later, Andrew & Dan still hadn't appeared. Terence was convinced the frat boys wouldn't make it before the gates opened, but he was wrong. Despite the fact that their driver had some difficulty finding the factory, Andrew & Dan were able to breathe easy when they arrived and found all the teams waiting at the gate.

EGG-CELENT

At 7:30am, the gates opened and the five teams ran to the clue box where they found a Roadblock. In it, one team member had to enter the marked chicken shack and search among 30,000 chickens for one of only seven golden eggs.

Before teams decided who would search for the golden egg, they also discovered the second of only two Fast Forwards on the race. For the chance to skip all other tasks and proceed to the Pit Stop, teams had to travel by taxi to a restaurant where they would join in a traditional Kazakh feast. What they would find out at the restaurant was that the main ingredient in the meal was the fat from the rear end of a sheep. When both team members finished their serving, they would win the Fast Forward.

As Toni, Tina, and Andrew donned the appropriate gear including surgical booties, gloves, and a mask to enter the chicken shack, siblings Nick & Starr and newly dating couple Terence & Sarah both decided to try for the Fast Forward, knowing that the loser would have a lot of ground to make up. Terence remarked, "This is what the race is about, taking the chance and going for it." Nick noted, "We're probably still gonna have to do whatever it is faster than them."

At the chicken shack, the three racers continued to keep their heads down looking through the sea of chickens for a golden egg. Toni spotted one first and ran back to Dallas to get their clue. Opening it, the duo discovered they had to travel by giant crane truck to Koktobe Arch at the foothills of the Tienshan Mountains. Then they would have to follow a marked path that would lead them to a Mongol warrior where they had to wait for their next clue to arrive.

A HEARTY MEAL

As Toni & Dallas got into their crane trucks followed closely by Andrew & Dan and Ken & Tina, Nick & Starr sprinted out of their taxi and bolted into the restaurant only seconds ahead of Terence & Sarah. Inside at the table, Nick & Starr ordered their entrée but chose not to ask any more questions about what the dish contained.

Meanwhile, Terence had a bigger problem when his plate arrived brimming with big chunks of meat. A practicing vegetarian who hadn't eaten meat in over fifteen years, Terence remarked, "Everything in that restaurant made me absolutely ill, but the only way to win the million was to go for it." Terence tried to choke down bite after bite in hopes of keeping up with Nick & Starr who maintained a lead, even with Starr on the brink of vomiting. Soon, it became clear that Terence wouldn't be able to eat his still nearly-full plate of meat fast enough to catch the siblings who powered through their plates. The newly dating couple decided to leave the restaurant instead of wasting more time. Nick & Starr cleaned their plates and won the Fast Forward, which instructed them to proceed to the Pit Stop at Old Square.

After a brief taxi ride, siblings Nick & Starr arrived at Old Square and stepped onto the mat in first place for an unprecedented fourth consecutive time. Phil rewarded the siblings with a pair of 180 horsepower wave runners. On their winning ways, Nick commented, "I think a truly positive attitude and a never-give-up approach to the race has really behooved Starr and I."

MOO-VING ALONG

Arriving at Koktobe Arch, mother and son Toni & Dallas walked along the steep tree-lined path until they reached the Mongol warriors. The team stood in awe as a trained eagle left its perch in the distance and flew over to them. It landed on a warrior's arm with a clue attached to its foot. Opening their clue, the mother and son discovered a Detour with the choice of Play Like Mad or Act Like Fools. In Play Like Mad, teams had to travel by taxi to the Museum of Folk Musical Instruments where they would learn to play a simple Kazakh tune using two traditional instruments, the Dombra and the Shan Koby's. When the instructor felt that they had learned the song well enough, he would send the team to the park to play for tips. They would earn their next clue once they had collected the equivalent of one and half dollars. In Act Like Fools, teams had to travel by taxi to a puppet theater, find the wardrobe department, and put on a two-person cow costume. Then, dressed as a cow, they had to walk the streets of Almaty to a marked stall where they had to drink a glass of milk. After finishing the milk, they would find the name of the next destination printed on the bottom of the glass, Zelyoniy Bazaar. After traveling in costume to the bazaar, the teams had to locate a butcher stall to receive their next clue.

FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE

As Toni & Dallas donned cow costumes, frat boys Andrew & Dan's navigational problems caused their lead over last place Terence & Sarah to shrink. As the newly dating couple searched for their golden egg, the frat boys still hadn't reached Koktobe Arch in their crane truck. In an area with few locals fluent in English, Andrew & Dan couldn't find anyone to give them directions. Frustration began to mount as they continued to get blank stares from locals prompting Andrew to ask, "What is wrong with people here? They're like zombies." Dan added, "These are horrible people." Finally, the exasperated duo found someone who offered their driver some helpful directions, just as Sarah found her egg in the chicken shack.

On the streets of Almaty, mother and son Toni & Dallas enjoyed their walk dressed up as a cow. Dallas remarked, "Everyone was staring. I was thinking, Let's have fun with this.' Everyone was laughing and having fun. Either laughing at us or laughing with us." However, their fun time came to an end when they walked right past the marked stall, allowing Ken & Tina to pass them when Tina downed her glass of milk in a flash. However, Ken & Tina's lead didn't last for long, as Tina missed the Detour information in the bottom of the glass and walked away from the stall without it. Toni & Dallas found their clue at the bottom of the glass right away, and continued onward to the meat section of the Zelyoniy Bazaar; while Ken & Tina read the clue on the glass, but then went on to make their situation even worse. The separated couple thought they had to change out of the costume before going on to the butcher, so they headed back to the costume department. As Toni & Dallas claimed another second place finish by walking to the Pit Stop at Old Square, they ran into Ken & Tina and told the confused pair they needed to get their costume back to finish the Detour.

MORE MISTAKES

As Ken & Tina corrected their mistakes to earn a third place finish, frat boys Andrew & Dan donned their cow costume, leaving their shoes behind in an effort to be less encumbered. The pair got off to a bad start when nobody would direct them to the address of the marked stall. Dan eventually found a taxi driver who walked them to the stall where they drank the milk, still ahead of Terence & Sarah. The frat boys continued their employment of the taxi driver who then walked them to the market where they got their next clue. With worries of Terence & Sarah close on their heels, they decided not to return to the costume shop for their shoes, thinking they could retrieve them later. From here though, the frat boys didn't read their clue and hopped into the driver's taxi and arrived at the Pit Stop via taxi rather than by foot.

When Phil informed Andrew & Dan they had to complete the clue properly, the frat boys couldn't find a taxi to take them back to the market, while Terence & Sarah continued to make forward progress. Andrew said, "Dammit, we're gonna lose because of that?" Soon, the frat boys found a taxi and returned to the market just moments ahead of Terence & Sarah. Of course, now having to walk back to the Pit Stop, Andrew & Dan tried to remember the way, but still had to ask for directions, allowing the very fit Terence & Sarah to make up even more ground.

ELIMINATED

In the end, however, it wasn't enough as newly dating couple Terence & Sarah arrived at the mat in last place, where Phil told them they had been eliminated from the race. On Terence, Sarah commented, "It was his decision to go for the Fast Forward and I think he's going to beat himself up for that, but I hope that with some time he can see that we got out of this some great things for our relationship. We saw the world together and hopefully, in the long run, that will be just as valuable as whether we were able to win it or not." Terence added, "I've never known where life would take me. I never knew where this race would take me. One thing I hope is wherever life does take me, Sarah's a part of my life."
