A ROUGH DAY FOR KEN & TINA

Teams traveled to the congested streets of Delhi, India where separated couple Ken & Tina instantly had troubles with a lost taxi driver. Although they battled back to pass fumbling frat boys Andrew & Dan, another lost taxi again foiled the separated couple who came in last place. They survived to race another day when Phil announced to the relieved couple that this was a non-elimination leg.

BUDDING ROMANCE

Departing the Pit Stop in first place at 11:22pm, siblings Nick & Starr opened their clue instructing them to fly over 2,000 miles to Delhi, India and travel by taxi to Zamrud Pur and find Moonlight Motors.

Nick & Starr went to a travel agency and learned that the earliest flight would get them into Delhi at 4:15pm. As they started booking their tickets, other teams arrived at the agency, including mother and son Toni & Dallas. After Dallas and Starr secured seats on the plane, they turned their focus to a more important issue: each other. Dallas wanted to make the moves on Starr, but found it difficult. He explained, "Starr's a cool girl, but to find that alone time just to be able to hang out...it's tough. My mom's with me. My mom's the worst wingman ever." Starr added, "Dallas and I have a great friendship that has formed which will probably continue after the race. There is an attraction there."

Last place frat boys Andrew & Dan also made it to the travel agency where they joined the remaining five teams. After booking the same 4:15pm flight to Delhi, Dan remarked, "Everyone's on the same flight. We're happy about that. Really the ball is in our court now to take advantage of it or waste it again. It's all up to us."

PAINT IT GREEN

Landing in Delhi, India, siblings Nick & Starr took an early lead out of the airport and survived traveling through the crazy rush hour traffic of Delhi to find Moonlight Motors. Opening their clue moments ahead of frat boys Andrew & Dan, Nick & Starr discovered a Roadblock. In it, one team member had to paint the black portion of a black and yellow auto rickshaw green, to signify that they now run on natural gas. However, before they could paint, they had to mask the yellow exterior and interior with newspaper to prevent painting those sections green. When they finished masking and painting the rickshaw, they would receive their next clue.

As Starr and Andrew began taping newspaper on the windshields of their auto rickshaws, separated couple Ken & Tina became frustrated with their taxi driver as he circled the streets of Delhi unable to locate Moonlight Motors. At one point, Ken & Tina disagreed on where to go, prompting Ken to say, "Where travel is in involved, Tina feels like she's always right. We've gotta have a little more give and take. She's got to trust in me when I think I know something or have a pretty strong intuition."

By the time the steamed separated couple finally showed up at Moonlight Motors, the other five teams had all begun the process of masking their auto rickshaws. Starr and Andrew maintained a lead over Toni, Kelly, and Terence and broke out the spray paint guns at the same time, tied for first place. This rare position was truly uncharted territory for the frat boys, and Andrew's painting technique helped him establish a lead on Starr. Dan cheered when Andrew finished painting and received their next clue. Now in first place, the frat boys discovered they had to make their way to the Ambassador Hotel, but they lost their lead almost instantly when they couldn't find a taxi in the street. In the end, they allowed Nick & Starr, Toni & Dallas, and even Ken & Tina to pass them up.

UNDER PRESSURE

Feeling the stress of being behind at Moonlight Motors, Terence tried to push Sarah to mask and paint her auto rickshaw faster with nagging instructions, which yielded mixed results. Sarah remarked, "I felt like Terence was being critical of me. I was feeling kind of fragile and I think that got in my way." Before he left the task, Andrew had also noted Terence's behavior, saying, "If [Terence] wanted to be so controlling I don't know why he didn't do the Roadblock. Who makes their girlfriend do body work?" In an attempt to stand up for herself, Sarah insisted that Terence only support her rather than criticize her prompting him to pay her a compliment. However, seeing divorcees Kelly & Christy finish painting rattled Terence once again as he now was in last place with Sarah. After Sarah finally received her clue, she wanted to talk about how Terence acted during the task, but he told her he didn't want to discuss it and would rather focus on finding a way to get out of last place

PRESSING ISSUE

Arriving at the Ambassador Hotel in first place, siblings Nick & Starr opened their clue to find a Detour with the choice of Launder Money or Launder Clothes. In Launder Money, teams made their way to a banquet hall and created a wedding necklace decorated with Indian money known as rupees. The necklace had to have exactly ten individual rupee notes that added up to the sum of 780. Teams would have to find ways to exchange money from their own stash of cash for the right combination of rupee notes. When the necklace was finished, they had to find a waiting groom and trade it for their next clue. In Launder Clothes, teams traveled to a laundry shop, chose an ironing station, and used a traditional charcoal heated iron to press twenty pieces of clothing. When the laundry woman confirmed that the clothes had been properly pressed, she would hand them their next clue.

Separated couple Ken & Tina's taxi driver continued to be lost dropping them once again to last place as the lead four teams of Nick & Starr, Toni & Dallas, Andrew & Dan and Kelly & Christy all opted to iron clothes. Still in the lead, Nick & Starr began the task and realized that the gloves they had in their backpacks proved useful in handling the incredibly hot irons. Seeing Nick & Starr already underway caused divorcee Kelly to say, "Of course we wanted to make up lost time and try to beat them. When Christy and I do beat Nick & Starr I'm really excited to brag." The divorcees didn't have gloves, but they solved the problem by using their surroundings and wrapped their irons with a piece of clothing so they could pick them up without getting burned.

Even with the competition heating up, teams had fun with the antique irons. Starr commented, "My mom will be surprised. I don't think we ironed once when we were growing up." Divorcee Kelly quipped, "Do you feel like you're a wife again?" Dan joked, "I've never ironed in my life. That's my mom's department. There was never any ironing going on in the frat house."

ON TOP AGAIN

Nick & Starr and Kelly & Christy continued to pile up their stacks of newly pressed clothes. Although the divorcees pressed hard to overtake their nemeses, Nick & Starr finished first and earned their next clue instructing them to travel to the Pit Stop at Baha'i House, the national headquarters for the Baha'i faith.

The siblings didn't look back as they stepped onto the mat in first place for the second leg in a row. Phil rewarded the very happy Nick & Starr with a pair of electric cars. Starr commented, "I'm excited to go into this next leg with Nick as a strong, united team. I think we're a great balance for each other and he really is my best friend and I consider myself very blessed to have someone like him in my life."

MONEY MADNESS As Kelly & Christy stepped onto the mat in second place, newly dating couple Terence & Sarah and separated couple Ken & Tina chose to Launder Money and searched for people on the streets of Delhi with whom they could exchange money for the wedding necklace. The teams initially struggled as darkness had fallen on the city, but Terence & Sarah were able to find the money they needed first. With a lead over Ken & Tina, who had a few more difficulties with the money exchange, Terence & Sarah walked to the table of gold necklaces, chose one, and stapled the ten notes adding up to 780 rupees. Walking into the traditional wedding ceremony packed with revelers, Terence & Sarah battled the crazy crowd and spotted a groom who handed them their clue just ahead of fifth place Ken & Tina.

At the mat, Toni & Dallas snagged third place while frat boys Andrew & Dan continued struggling to properly iron clothes and fell into last place. A frustrated Dan noted, "It sucks to be last. We were the first ones done with the Roadblock." Their night worsened when a windstorm blew through, knocking their clothes on the ground. Elimination appeared imminent, as Dan had to refold his clothes and keep ironing.

While the frat boys kept pressing clothes and Terence & Sarah finished in fourth place, fifth place Ken & Tina couldn't find a taxi. The separated couple shouted in the streets for a taxi to no avail. After walking to a busier street, the pair finally found a green auto rickshaw and headed to Baha'i House just ahead of last place Andrew & Dan who had finally finished ironing.

D DAY ENDS

The taxi troubles for separated couple Ken & Tina continued to plague them as their new driver pulled over completely lost. An annoyed Tina quipped, "ow can it take twenty people to find something?"After getting out of the auto rickshaw to ask for directions, Tina didn't want to get back in until Ken moved his backpack. However, after their frustrating day, Ken's temper was short as he shouted, "Please, get in!"

Ken & Tina's bad day turned worse when they stepped onto the mat in last place. However, the separated couple received a reprieve from Phil who told them this was a non-elimination leg. Even though they would be facing a Speed Bump task in the next leg, Ken & Tina were thrilled to still be in the race. However, the couple knew they needed to work on their relationship if they wanted to strengthen their team and make it further. A teary Ken commented, "Everybody loves a comeback. We're not talking about just a little football game here. We're not just talking about THE AMAZING RACE. We're talking about an all-encompassing situation which is [points to himself and Tina as he cries]. We want this race. We want to win it. We want it to work for each other or we wouldn't put ourselves through this hell we've gone through." Tina added, "It takes going to the bottom sometimes to get to the top."
