Accidentally On Purpose Episode 1.09 Working Girl

When the baby expenses start adding up for Zack he decides to ask his boss if he can be sous chef for a night. Great cooking and an accident with a co-worker in the kitchen lands Zack the position even sooner than he thought. At work, Billie finds out that Adam has hired another film critic to fill in for her during her maternity leave. Billie fears that she is going to be replaced entirely by the other film critic, Max, who has a competitive energy. When Max brings in a DVD of an unreleased film, Adam tells Max and Billie to write up a review and he will publish the better of the two. When Billie has to take a potty break during the movie, Max sabotages her by sending the DVD back to his source. Just when Billie thinks she will be fired, Zack saves the day and reveals that he has a secret DVD source of his own. After a confrontation between Olivia and James, James realizes that me may have been behaving unfairly to Billie out of spite and assures her that her job is safe. Upon hearing the news, Billie cries tears of joy which Zack misinterprets as James being a jerk to Billie so Zack tries to defend Billie by attacking James. In the end, the fight proves to be a release of aggression for both James and Zack - as a sort of truce; James even offers to help Zack find a new job.
