'Til Death Episode 1.02 Sex for Furniture

Eddie pokes away at a barbeque. Eddie goes inside to get his tongs and Jeff's Frisbee hits him as he walks in. In the seconds he was gone, Joy had invited the Woodcocks to stay. Eddie sits in several of the Stark's wood patio chairs, breaking them along the way. When the men go to retrieve chairs from the Woodcock's, Steph tells Joy that if she wants to avoid the hassle of shopping with Eddie, she should offer sex in exchange for Eddie letting her just buy what she wants.

Later, Joy tells Eddie that she went shopping for patio furniture. Eddie starts in on his speech about buying the perfect chairs, but Joy cuts him off and offers her body to him in order to get what she wants. Eddie weighs his options and begins looking through the house for the perfect spot to seal the deal. But ultimately, Eddie passes on the deal. He would rather see the furniture over having sex with his wife. Joy is furious and storms upstairs.

Eddie snaps at Jeff about his humming and breathing on the way home from the school. Jeff confronts Eddie about his attitude and Eddie explains Joy's "sex for furniture" idea. Jeff says he and Steph do the same thing and it becomes clear to Eddie where Joy got the idea. Jeff says he's fine with the deal and that there's nothing in the house he wouldn't have picked out himself.

Eddie moves through the Woodcock's house, pointing out items that Jeff let slip by him. Eddie awakens Jeff to the furniture that Steph has been decorating the house with and he's horrified. Eddie tells Jeff to stand his ground.

Eddie comes home to boast about ending the Woodcock's furniture agreement. He finds Joy out back sitting on new furniture, who bought it while Eddie was gone. Joy relaxes and Eddie throws a tantrum about the new furniture. When Eddie casually asks for the sex to balance the deal, Joy denies his request.

Steph comes home and tells Jeff she found a new dresser she likes and begins her sultry dance to get what she wants. Jeff begins to crack, but takes a stand. Jeff crosses the line and calls Steph a "furniture hooker." Eddie calls and interrupts the fight. He tells Jeff to take the sex because they can buy the furniture without the sex!

Eddie tells Joy that she's ruined the patio and ruined sex when she made it something to be traded.

Joy creeps into the bedroom and finds Eddie reading in bed. Eddie plays uninterested and Joy apologizes for what she's done. Joy offers Eddie twenty-five pounds of catalog beef to keep the patio furniture.

Eddie stands over the barbeque and Jeff comes over. He tells Eddie that he got to keep his dresser, even though Steph painted it white and added crystal handles. Eddie doesn't listen and threaten to Jeff that all the meat on the BBQ is his. Jeff slowly backs into his own yard.
